Feng shui and healthy living
Feng shui your bedroom
Feng Shui promotes healthy living—physically, mentally, and psychologically. While the position of a bed is important for psychological well-being, feng shui also emphasizes physical effects. Since you spend about one-third of your day in bed, it is essential to keep it clean for restful sleep.
Millions of dust mites are present all around us, and they are one of the main causes of allergies. These microorganisms are too small to see, but they eat, drink, and excrete just like larger organisms. Your bed provides an ideal environment for them: they feed on proteins from your skin and dandruff, absorb your perspiration, and leave their waste behind. How often do you wash your sheets? How often do you replace your pillow? (for more information, please refer to Healthy Home for Healthy Aging with Feng Shui)

Action 1: Wash your bedding in hot water at least once a week.
Action 2: Change your pillow every two years, as it can accumulate many dust mites, both dead and alive.
Action 3: Do not make your bed right after getting up. Let it air out the perspiration from your sleep.
